We strongly encourage visitors to experience Cuba's other attractions, beyond its gorgeous beaches. The area is rich with cultural, ecological, nautical and historical sights and activities for everyone. All of these places can be visited on your own or as part of an organized tour, and some of them are official stops of the Panoramic Bus (the hop-on/hop-off double-decker bus that loops continuously around the three cayos).

Please note that it’s not recommended to travel by scooter outside the three cayos, if you want to visit the surrounding towns (Caibarien, Remedios, Camajuani, Santa Clara, etc.) on the main island of Cuba, you need to hire a taxi or rent a car. If you choose to rent a car, avoid getting back to the cayos after sunset, the 48-km causeway is unlit and has no guardrails; it may be somewhat dangerous for a driver unfamiliar with this road.
