There are currently on the island of Cayo Santa Maria, five health centers providing quality and various care. The treatments are not part of your all-inclusive travel package. In health centers, there are lockers for your belongings and showers. It is suggested to arrive fifteen minutes before your treatment. Teas are offered free to spa guests.
They are located at the hotel Melia Buenavista, hotel Sol Cayo Santa Maria, the spa « Aguas Claras » near the Pueblo Las Dunas, Hotel Gaviota and finally in the Pueblo La Estrella. Since these are paid services, it is possible to go to the center of your choice. It is recommended to reserve at least 24 hours in advance for your care. You can pay cash (CUC only) or charge to your room (payable on departure).
Care is provided by qualified professionals in an air conditioned room. If you enjoyed your treatment, you can leave a tip for your therapist. This gesture is always appreciated, especially with a smile and a « muchas gracias » !
Health centers are open from 7 am to 7 pm daily. Be sure to read carefully the rules in case of cancellation. A fee might be charged to your room if you do not notify in a timely manner. The cost of treatment is always based on the number of stars of your hotel in Cuba. A one-hour massage might cost you about 60 CUC (the same massage can cost as low as 10 CUC in a 2 or 3 stars hotel).

The health center (Spa) of the Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria Beach Colonial and of the Memories hotels in Cayo Santa Maria is located in the Pueblo La Estrella.
It opened on December 12th, 2009. Many services ($) are offered. The Pueblo La Estrella is administered by Gaviota and not by Barcelo. Guests staying at the Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria Beach Colonial and those of the Memories Paraiso & Azul may access Pueblo La Estrella, by walking through the resorts or using the panoramic bus (see info below).

The Pueblo La Estrella is a charming little village with several services, including restaurants, bars, discos, massage, billiards, bowling, etc.. All hotel guests may visit freely the Pueblo La Estrella. Please note that the craft shops of all the hotels are now grouped in the Pueblo Las Dunas and the Pueblo La Estrella.
There is now in Cayo Santa Maria, a shuttle (panoramic bus) going around all day from the hotel Villa Las Brujas, the Dolphinarium, the Iberostar Ensenachos, as well as all the hotels in Cayo Santa Maria and the two Pueblos. That is a two-storey bus « open top » which is good during warm days! The fee is 1 CUC / person / trip (not for all the day, like in Varadero or Cayo Coco).
