Day 1 ...
Travel by bus to Havana, capital of Cuba. The meal is included in the restaurant « El Lugar », located along the beautiful park « Almendares ». Arrival in the capital, drop your luggage at the Panorama hotel. The evening meal is included in the restaurant « Los Doce Apostoles », where you can admire the beauty of Old Havana and enjoy the ceremony of canon shooting at 21 hours « Cañonazo ». This ceremony is a tradition dating from the seventeenth century. Free Night in Old Havana.
Day 2 ...
Breakfast included at the hotel. Then go for a city tour including the Revolution Square « Jose Marti », the Old Havana with its charm, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the Plaza Vieja, instead of cathedral place « San Francisco ». Free time at the central market where you can buy a wide variety of souvenirs. Lunch at restaurant « El Bar Cabaña » with a sea view « Malecon » and the craft fair.
It is possible to book this excursion including the Tropicana Show. The cost is 40 CUC extra (per adult only).
We did not do this trip from Cayo Santa Maria, but we visited Havana on many occasions and is a must! You need to see, at least once in your life, the Havana city! It is a journey through time and impressive architecture. It is a safe city unlike many major Latin American capitals.
