For adventurers and nature lovers.

You will discover a beautiful and quite interesting layout. The bus will take you through the Cuban countryside while passing four towns of that province. Once at the mountain, you will board authentic Russian army trucks that will take you through the forest in the Guanayara provincial park.

The hike will start in a trail with a guide describing the different species of plants, flowers and trees. Then, a short break at the Javira water fall.

Here, the group splits in two: Jungle 1 and Jungle 2. The Jungle 1 group will carry on in the trails discovering the forest while the other group will go down the river with another guide. (guarantied thrills) The two groups will then meet near a natural pool, a lagoon in the middle of the jungle, for a well deserved rest and a quick swim very welcomed by the first group.

The two groups will then follow the trails that will bring them to the restaurant La Gallega located at the entrance of Guanayara provincial park next to a small river.

We did this excursion in 2002 and we loved it! It was known then as “Jungle tour” or “Rambo tour”

About this excursion:

  Since it takes about 3 hours by foot, bring good walking shoes.
  Bring 1 or 2 beach towels.
  For the Jungle 2 tour, we recommend non-slip shoes.
