In all the hotels of Cayo Santa Maria, the voltage in the rooms is 220 volts (as in Europe) There are electrical outlets in the room and in the bathroom. This last one is different since there are two choices of voltage. 110 and 220 volts. Low intensity for shavers, battery chargers, etc. but high enough as well for more demanding small appliances like hair driers, curling irons, etc.

We always carry an international adapter/converter kit that serves as a surge protector. We bought it at a duty free shop. It’s made by Swiss Travel Products. Small, easy to store and it comes with a protection fuse. (110v –max. 275W and 220v –max. 550W)
