After Caibarien, Remedios is the second village closest to Cayo Santa Maria. Most of the hotel workers live in Remedios. To get there, we rented a Jeep. It’s in this colonial village that, every December 24, they celebrate the “las parrandas de Remedios” a famous carnival. Remedios is one of the most ancient city of Cuba with it’s main church being the second oldest in the country. See the [Excursions] section of our website to know mora about the December 24th fiesta.
