We did this tour on January 23, 2002 with our guide was Josef.
This trip troughout the Cuban province of Villa Clara allowed us to see the "real" Cuba, thas is, the countryside, charming villages and cities where the Cuban live; their culture, their history, etc. It's at Santa Clara in 1959 where Ernesto « Che » Guevara and his men led the most decisive battle of the Cuban Revolution. The story & life of this famous national hero is omnipresent troughout the visit of Santa Clara (La ciudad del Che!).

Program of the day :
- We left the hotel at 08h30
- First stop at the charming town of Remedios (founded in the XVI-th century) to visit the Parroquial Mayor chruch and a downtown walk.
- Next stop, Camajuani, where we visited a big cigar factory. We see all the process, from the hand-made manufacture to the final quality control stages.
- Arrival in Santa Clara. Lunch (included) in a restaurant of the city.
- Visit of the Plaza Ernesto « Che » Guevara (A huge monument, mausoleum and museum of this national hero.
NOTE: Photos are not allowed inside the mausoleum and museum.
- Visit of the Art Decorative museum.
- Visit of downtown Santa Clara: Park, monuments, beautiful buildings (colonial style).
- Photo-Stop at the location of the last and most decisive battle of the Cuban Revolution.
- Back to the hotel around 17h00
